Global Airline Ranking: Flyers’ Choice Awards 2026

On August 11, 2026, the website AirlineRatings.com, which is globally known for its airline safety and product ratings, launched the Flyers’ Choice Awards 2026, with Singapore Airlines receiving substantial acclaim as a result of the votes cast by travellers from all over the world.


Qatar Airways had also been ranked first in AirlineRatings.com's World's Best Airlines 2026 list, which was published earlier in March.


The Choice Awards run by the Flyers take into account passenger preferences and personal experiences when assessing airlines in a number of different categories. The awards include major areas like cabin class, cabin staff service, regional performance, safety, and general passenger confidence. As a result, the findings give an accurate picture of passengers' direct experiences and level of satisfaction.


At the 2026 awards, Singapore Airlines won four of the main prizes and thus became one of the most successful airlines of the year. Since the awards were decided entirely by passengers, Singapore Airlines received the prizes for Preferred Economy Airline, Best Cabin Crew Service, Best Airline in Central and Southeast Asia, and Airline That Gave Greatest Peace of Mind.


Other airlines also performed well at the regional level. Delta Air Lines won the top spot in North America, Cathay Pacific was best in Northeast Asia, and LATAM Airlines obtained the leading position in South and Central America; in Europe, British Airways received the top award for the second year in a row.


In the Middle East and Africa area, Emirates, based in Dubai, took first place; Qatar Airways came in second and Etihad Airways, which is based in Abu Dhabi, finished in third position. The excellent results achieved by these three major airlines from the Middle East show that they have a well-established dominance in international passenger services.


Even though no airlines from South Asia have won awards at the Flyers’ Choice Awards 2026, this result by no means constitutes a final evaluation of the region's aviation industry; on the contrary, it provides a valuable chance for regional carriers to improve their passenger services, enhance the cabin experience, and increase their global competitiveness.
