That was $12.2 billion dollars in 2011, $10.25 billion in 2012, $16.07 billion in 2013, $ 27.31 billion in 2014, $33.47 billion in 2015 and $29.79 billion in 2016. According to statistics, Saudi Arabia's arms import has increased nearly three times in the last 5 years. Moreover, due to the widespread economic crisis and the GDP dropped from 4.9% to 3.8%, Saudi Arabia's total arms imports in 2017 are expected to reach $40.00 billion dollars by the end.
