In the wake of Arab spring and ongoing war situation in the Middle East and in the context of the geopolitical crisis, King-ruled state of Saudi Arabia unexpectedly signed trade and military agreements with the United States at the highest $ 380 billion. Including $ 110 billion worth of high-tech and lethal US military system supply agreements and it was  the highest defence export and supply agreement at the international level in a short time of the United Stats. According to the agreement, Saudi Arabia is believed to be getting the highest strategic priority of procurement or purchase of weapons and defence systems to $350 billion in the next 10 years.

In fact, Saudi Arabia, one of the regional powerful states in the Middle East, has been spending billions of dollars in the military and defense sector for the last ten decades without any justification. The country actually imposes arms and ammunition worth 20-30 billion dollars or more per year, and the United States alone acts as a major supplier and seller of Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the United Kingdom also provides weapons worth 841 million Euros in April-June, 2017 as one of the small and medium arms suppliers of Saudi Arabia. Again, the UK has been known to export weapons and missiles worth 4.60 billion dollars since the beginning of Yemen war crisis 2015.

According to one statistic, Saudi Arabia imports arms and defence equipment of $10.83 billion dollars in 2010. That was $12.2 billion dollars in 2011, $10.25 billion in 2012, $16.07 billion in 2013, $ 27.31 billion in 2014, $33.47 billion in 2015 and $29.79 billion in 2016. According to statistics, Saudi Arabia's arms import has increased nearly three times in the last 5 years. Moreover, due to the widespread economic crisis and the GDP dropped from 4.9% to 3.8%, Saudi Arabia's total arms imports in 2017 are expected to reach $40.00 billion dollars by the end.

Another important thing is that the United States, the United Kingdom and other European countries are playing major key to supply weapons, warships, missiles, helicopters, warships and  lethal military equipment to Saudi Arabia from last 20 years. On the other hand, Saudi royal government is being paid at least $8-10 billion or more due to the maintenance, engine overhauling, upgrading, operating, training and supply of spare parts every year in Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, while United States allies has played a major role to air strike deficit in the Syrian Assad regime, Saudi Arabia and the Arab Emirates jointly spent approximately $ 5.00 billion since 2010 to supplies arms to Syrian insurgent armed organizations to root out The Syrian Assad government. In addition to the Yemen conflict and Saudi military aggression in Yemen, Saudi Arabia has increased their import and collection of three folds.

According to multiple military think-tank studies on international level, Saudi Arabia's annual defense budget is estimated to be 60 to 67 billion dollars, but in reality, Saudi Arabia's government is secretly spending at least $80-100 billion or more without any rational planning. And in recent years, in the Middle East, with the strong influence of United Stats, Russia, Iran and Turkey on the most controversial issues, most of the countries in the Middle East, started their unmatched competition to increase military and defense budget and imports sophisticated and lethal weapons with an alarming rates. The United States, Russia and European Union countries are the most beneficial in this hanker game without any justification.
